Archery or photography anyone?
McMinnville Civic Center is offering classes in both beginning this month. Organizers say register today as space is limited.
“These classes will be a lot of fun,” said program coordinator Kendra Foust.
A beginners photography class will be offered from Oct. 23 to Nov. 27. The six-week course will be offered by instructor Jacob Basham on Tuesdays beginning at 6 p.m.
In the photography class, members will learn the basics of photography and how to properly use a camera.
Archery lessons will be offered from Oct. 23 to Dec. 4. The eight-week course will be offered by instructor Kathie Hodge on Tuesdays beginning at 7 p.m.
In the archery class, space is limited to 11 people. Foust says accommodations will be made if more than 11 sign up to take the class.
“If we get enough registration forms, we will open up another class as well,” Foust said.
The archery class will not only teach the basics of using a compound bow for beginners, but it will also provide additional practice and instruction for the more advanced archers. Beginning participants will learn to safely shoot and handle a bow and arrow.
Both classes are $50 per person. For more information, call Foust at 473-1212.
