If you want to test drive a Ford and have money donated to Boyd Christian School in the process, this Saturday is a day to remember.
That’s when Kidd Ford is holding a Drive One 4 UR School promotion. It will be held at Kidd Ford on Manchester Highway from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Seeing a funding need, Kidd Ford owner Terry Kidd has arranged for this Drive One 4 UR School promotion March 10. For every person 18 or older who test drives a Ford vehicle, Ford will donate $20 to Boyd, up to $6,000.
“We’re excited to help raise money for Boyd Christian School and, at the same time, introduce parents, teenagers and other drivers to our high-quality lineup and innovative safety technologies,” said Kidd. “We know it’s important for students to learn in a wide range of educational environments and that’s why we’re happy to support Boyd Christian School.”
Most of the Drive One 4 UR School promotions have benefited WCHS athletics, although one went to help fund Project Graduation. This will be the first one for Boyd Christian School, a private Church of Christ-affiliated school on Morrison Street.
Ford started its Drive One 4 UR School program in 2007 and it has received overwhelming support.
“The best part is it allows you to make a donation without having to give any money,” said Kidd. “All you have to do is take a few minutes of your time to take a quick test drive and we’ll get this money to Boyd Christian School.”
