WCMS teacher and political newcomer Kevin Dunlap is on his way to a showdown for the 43rd District Tennessee House of Representatives seat.Dunlap won easily in Warren County and throughout the three-county district which also includes White and Grundy counties.With 36 of 36 precincts reporting, according to the Associated Press, Dunlap gathered 3,578 votes, good for 68 percent. Kristopher Gore, who faced legal hurdles during his campaign, finished with 906 votes, good for 17 percent. James T. Jacobs, who also ran for School Board, finished third with 800 votes.The win gives Dunlap the Democratic nod in his bid to gain the 43rd District seat long held by Charles Curtiss.
