Local residents have a few more days to donate a shoebox to Operation Christmas Child. The effort ends Monday. According to Debbie Patterson, who organizes the local effort with Debra Young, a few more are needed if the ministry wants to meet its goal of 3,400 shoeboxes.“We have collected 2,087 shoeboxes so far,” Patterson said as of Wednesday evening.
