A man faces smuggling charges after he was caught trying to sneak drugs into Warren County Jail concealed in an ankle band. The inmate, Norval Lee Judkins Jr., 44, remains behind bars after his bondsman was released from his bond due to Judkins’ failure to appear in court on various cases. He was arrested when McMinnville police officer Ben Cantrell pulled him over and took him into custody on outstanding warrants.Judkins was then asked if he had any contraband on his person before he was processed into the jail and he responded he did not. However, a search of his person revealed he was being less than truthful.“He had, concealed in an ankle band, a marijuana cigarette, two morphine tablets, two Adderall capsules, a small bag appearing to be methamphetamine, and a syringe,” Cantrell said in his warrant against Judkins. He has been ordered held behind bars until he appears before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke this Tuesday.
