Judge Locke hears 45-person court docket

A 45-person docket was heard Thursday by Judge Bill Locke in General Sessions Traffic Court. Cases not listed were dismissed or continued to a later date. Included in court action:
• Joshua Griffith was ordered to serve 45 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence, pay $352 and lose his driver license for one year for third-offense driving on a suspended license and violation of probation.
• Kendra Hillis was instructed to serve 12 days of an 11-29 sentence, pay $519 and lose her driver license for two years for second-offense driving on a suspended license and failure to appear in court.
• Joshua Burton was bound to the grand jury on charges of simple possession of drugs and DUI.
• Penny Myers was bound to the grand jury on charges of simple possession of marijuana, possession of drugs, leaving the scene of an accident, DUI and second-offense driving on a suspended license.
• Darrell W. Newby was instructed to serve four days of a six-month sentence, pay $789 and lose his driver license for one year for driving on a revoked license and failure to appear in court.
• Randall Streeval was ordered to serve 10 days of an 11-29 sentence, pay $352 and lose his driver license for two years for second-offense driving on a revoked license.
• Jimmy Caldwell was directed to serve 48 hours of an 11-29 sentence, pay $1,370, perform 24 hours public service work, attend DUI school and lose his driver license for one year for DUI and violation of the open container law.
• Jai Parton was given an 11-29 probationary sentence and must pay $642 and perform 24 hours public service work for driving outside restrictions.
• Jose Martinez must pay $314 for speeding and driving without a license.
• Ted Pinson Jr., must pay $310 for second-offense driving on a suspended license and speeding.
• Charles Anderson, James Woodard, Melonie Horn, Juan Torres, Rosmeli Lopez, Joseph Mosca and Randy Kester must pay $152 for driving without a driver license.
