JROTC camp begins Tuesday

The Warren County High School JROTC Young Leader Camp is being held Tuesday, May 28 through Friday, May 31 at WCHS.The camp is designed for students to have fun in a JROTC setting while teaching leadership and teamwork skills. The areas of focus are color guard, drill team and the Raider team.Drill team activities will include drill and ceremony (military marching), color guard (flag carrying and raising) and exhibition drills (fancy rifle drills).The Raider team activities will encompass basic physical training, an obstacle course, a single rope bridge and first aid training.The camp is open to students in grades 4-8, boys and girls. Camp organizers ask students please wear tennis shoes, not flip flops or sandals.The cost is $50 per camper.
