Jerry Wayne Jones, 56, died July 8.Born in Florence County, he was the son of Sarah Lovett Webster of Dillion, S.C., and the late James Henton Jones of McMinnville.Survivors include his wife, Sarah Elizabeth; son John Henton Jones; stepson James Cummins (Rachel); granddaughter Savannah Cummins of Charlotte, N.C.; sisters, Sarah Leen Davis (Jimmy) of Dillon, Kandi Jones Steele and Tonjua Jones Austin of McMinnville; brothers, Sammy Webster, Mitchell Webster (Sarah) of Dillon, James Earl Jones (Karen) of McMinnville, Shelton Jones (Jenny) of Manchester, Jimmy Jones (Almetia) of McMinnville; stepmother, Mary Jones (Mert) of McMinnville, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Walker Webster and halfsister, Linda Faye Jones.Services were held July 11 at Mint Hill Baptist Church in Charlotte, N.C.Southern Standard (McMinnville, Tenn.)
