It's gonna be windy
Traffic signal
Wind blew down this traffic light Thursday morning at the intersection of West Main and South High streets.

It's going to be a windy day in Warren County.

High winds are already creating problems in McMinnville with a tree limb and debris being reported in roadways. In downtown, a traffic light came crashing to the pavement and shattered in more than 100 pieces around 8:30 a.m. Thursday. This was at the intersection of West Main Street and South High Street in front of the Black House.

Police officers were on the scene directing traffic while a crew from Public Works was working to get the remaining traffic lights functional.

Due to the weather, all Warren County convenience centers will close at 11 a.m. Thursday.

News 4 in Nashville is calling for an extremely windy day in Middle Tennessee with strong to severe storms this afternoon. Winds will range from 20-30 mph, News 4 says, with high gusts between 40-60 mph. Damaging winds are a primary concern.
