Marva Hughes was named Southern Standard’s 2011 Woman of Achievement at a banquet taking place Tuesday night at Falcon Rest.The banquet recognized 19 outstanding women who have played a major role in pointing our community in a positive direction. Of that prestigious group, Hughes was selected as the overall winner.Her volunteer work as a Master Gardener, especially her long hours doing landscaping at the Warren County Fairgrounds, is one of the things that set her apart.
