A local man was critically injured Tuesday afternoon when he was thrown from his truck as it rolled over after running off Old Shelbyville Road. The victim, Barry Estes, 36, was airlifted from Warren County Memorial Airport by LifeForce helicopter for treatment of multiple critical injuries.According to Highway Patrolman Ronnie Simmons, the accident happened around 4 p.m. Tuesday on Old Shelbyville Road between its intersections with Patton and Laws roads, just outside the McMinnville city limits.A preliminary investigation of the scene led lawmen to suspect Estes lost control of his pickup as he rounded a sharp turn as he was in-bound, traveling east toward McMinnville, on the two-lane Old Shelbyville Road. His vehicle then crossed the road where it entered a ditch line and slammed into a concrete abutment. The impact launched the truck airborne and caused it to roll over, the force partially ejecting the victim from the cab of the truck.
