Morrison School recognized for design

Knoxville-based architectural firm, Red Chair Architects, was recognized recently in a statewide design competition by the Tennessee Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) at the 2013 AIA Design Awards. The gala celebration was part of the AlA Tennessee's state convention in Nashville, where Tennessee architects were honored in a juried awards banquet for their outstanding design quality.Red Chair’s design award is for Morrison School, and was one of the 11 projects unanimously chosen by the jury from a field of 86 submittals. The project submissions came from architects from all parts of the state, and jurors noted that the overall quality was very high and represented a wide variety of scales and budgets.
