A man who head-butted his girlfriend will serve 45 days in jail. The defendant, Robert K. Woolsey, 24, was directed by General Sessions Judge Bill Locke to serve 45 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence and attend conflict management after entering guilty pleas to charges of domestic assault and evading arrest. He was also warned to stay away from the victim. His sentence comes after police saw he and his girlfriend in a heated argument on West Sparta Street, a residential section which runs on the other side of the railroad tracks parallel with Sparta Street. The officers said they could see the woman was very upset when they arrived.“We attempted to separate the two and Mr. Woolsey took off running and was apprehended on the back side of the church,” said McMinnville patrolman Robert Hammond in his warrants against Woolsey. It was at that point they learned Woolsey had head-butted his girlfriend in the mouth as she was trying to get away from him.Police pointed out Woolsey had been warned to stop several times as they chased him down the hill toward the church, but he ignored them.
