Guertin gets nod for constable

Mark Guertin has been unanimously approved by members of the county’s Safety Committee to fill the position of District 1 Constable. The position was made available when John Mark Norris resigned Nov. 19.Guertin must be approved by the full Warren County Commission on Monday, Dec. 16 and must be sworn in before he will be able to perform duties as a constable.The constable position in District 11 is also vacant. Former Constable Kyle Glenn resigned in the beginning of November.Commissioners in District 11, Terry Bell and Morris Bond, could have appointed someone to fill the position at the full court meeting held Nov. 18, but neither commissioner received interest from anyone willing to finish out the term.However, two men have now voiced a desire to serve as constable for District 11.
