Local residents don’t have far to drive to find a good fishin’ hole. The Barren Fork River has been stocked with trout at Pepper Branch Park, one of five waterways in Warren County stocked by the TWRA. “We want people to know about Pepper Branch Park because it’s a high-traffic area,” said TWRA fishery biologist Will Collier. “It’s in the city so people don’t have to drive far and the access is good. We have even worked with the city to extend a footpath off the greenway to serve as a fishing trail to provide even more access.”Collier says the Pepper Branch Park area has already been stocked once, with two more stockings to come.
