Rock Island State Park will hold the fourth annual Waterfalls and Wildflower Hikes each weekend in March, beginning March 15. The guided hikes will introduce visitors to Tennessee’s natural spring beauties, waterfalls and native wildflowers.Park rangers, guest naturalists and plant professionals will lead the hikes, showcasing Rock Island’s many waterfalls and wildflowers found in both the Upper Cumberland region and Central Basin areas. Each day will include a different guide on a different trail so the experience is unique each time.Hiking guides will include state naturalist Randy Hedgepath, Sewanee University’s Mary Priestly and author Dennis Horn.
