General Sessions: Arraignment Court

A 36-person docket was heard Tuesday morning by Judge Bill Locke in General Sessions arraignment court. Included in the morning session:• Joshua Brown was directed to serve 40 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence, pay $1,764 and undergo a drug and alcohol assessment for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia and failure to appear in court.• Juan Barajas was ordered to serve 10 days of an 11-29 sentence, pay $1,762, and undergo a drug and alcohol assessment for possession of drugs, theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.• April Earls was issued an 11-29 probationary sentence and must pay $501 and perform 24 hours public service work for shoplifting.• Brandon Martin was issued an 11-29 sentence but released on time served. He must pay $957 and undergo a drug and alcohol assessment for simple possession of marijuana and evading arrest.• Joseph Moore was granted a six-month judicial diversion and pay $957 for simple possession of marijuana.• David Fore was issued a six-month probationary sentence and must pay $1,107 for simple possession of marijuana and unlawful drug paraphernalia.• Heather Newby was handed an 11-29 probationary sentence and must pay $1,457 for possession of drugs.• Danny Mullins must pay $244 and perform 25 hours public service work for hunting in a closed season, hunting from a vehicle, and hunting from a public road.• Allan Walker must pay $244 and lose his hunting license for one year for hunting with the aid of bait.• Douglas Jones must serve 30 days for violation of probation.• Courtney Seibers must serve two days and undergo a drug and alcohol assessment for violation of probation.
