A 40-person docket was heard Tuesday morning by Judge Bill Locke in General Sessions arraignment court. Included in the morning session:• Kayla Montgomery waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound to the grand jury on charges of grand theft and criminal trespass.• James West was given an 11-month, 29-day sentence but released on time served for domestic assault. He must also undergo a mental health evaluation.• Dessie D. Sweeney was handed an 11-29 probationary sentence and must pay $150 plus costs and undergo a drug and alcohol assessment for possession of drug paraphernalia.• Whitney Hawkins and Brittany Taylor were issued 11-29 probationary sentences and must perform 24 hours public service work, and stay out of Walmart for shoplifting.• Gary Barton and Florentino Silva must pay $10 plus costs for public intoxication.• Nicholas Crosson was given an 11-29 sentence but released on time served and must pay $50 plus costs and perform 16 hours public service work for underage consumption.• Diego Ramirez must serve two days and have his probation extended by six months for violation of probation.• Jule A. Hall must serve 30 days for violation of probation.• Maggie Parsons had a judicial diversion revoked and must serve 10 days and undergo an alcohol and drug assessment.• Derrick Sullivan must serve the balance of his sentence for violation of probation.
