Statutory rape charges have been leveled against a man who investigators say tried to help get a teen girl pregnant.The defendant, Juan C. Garcia, 21, waived his right to preliminary hearing Tuesday before General Sessions Judge Larry Ross and was bound to the grand jury on the Class E felony which carries one to two years in prison if convicted.His charges come after investigators received a report he had participated in sexual relations with a teen girl. Specifically, lawmen were informed the underage girl wanted to get pregnant and met with Garcia to have sex. The incident happened in a wooded area behind an apartment complex.
