A man faces multiple felony assault charges after he allegedly pulled a gun and brandished it on three people. The alleged gunman, Marco B. Franklin, 28, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound to the grand jury on three counts of aggravated assault. He could face three to six years in prison on those counts if convicted. The felony charges grew out of a domestic issue between Franklin and his girlfriend at an Edgefield Street residence.“She (the girlfriend) said Marco Franklin shoved her,” the woman told McMinnville police officer Matthew Stubblefield of what began the issue. The woman’s brother came to her aid. “Her brother intervened, coming between them by pulling out a bat to defend his sister,” Stubblefield revealed, noting it was at that point Franklin allegedly upped the ante.
