Five volunteer firefighters from Warren County recently took part in a memorial stair climb honoring firefighters who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.The men were part of a team of seven men, two from Murfreesboro, who wore full gear while climbing up 28 flights of stairs at the William R. Snodgrass Tennessee Tower in Nashville. The firefighters climbed the tower four times to represent the 110 floors that were in the Twin Towers. The participants climbed from the parking garage to the top of the building and took an elevator to the bottom.
