A felon who wouldn’t show police his hands because he had a gun in his waistband faces felony charges that may send him to the penitentiary.The suspect, Ricky Douglas Northcutt, 51, is charged with reckless endangerment with a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of drugs, and theft. His sentence, for which is he a convicted felon, ended in 1992 meaning the felony conviction has stayed with him for 23 years since he paid his debt to society. Under state law, convicted felons are not allowed to possess firearms.Northcutt was arrested when police arrived at a residence on East End Drive to investigate a call of a disturbance involving an armed person.
