Will the opinion of a third party help settle a dispute between McMinnville Fire Chief Keith Martin and city officials? Although elected officials and Martin have refused to comment on his pending litigation, speculation is Municipal Technical Advisory Service (MTAS) has been asked to review the Fire Department and give its assessment to the city. What triggered the discontent between the two was a four-months severance pay offer by McMinnville Mayor Jimmy Haley to Martin in September if Martin would leave the job.
