Fire alarms to be replaced

An old fire alarm is being blamed for the recent false alarm fire call McMinnville Fire Department investigated at Warren County Administrative Officers on Locust Street.
McMinnville firefighters responded to the alarm Saturday.
County Executive John Pelham said, “The alarm originated in the basement in the Emergency Management room. The fire pulls are old and are breaking away from the wall due to age. When they break or pop off, the pressure makes it feel as though it has been pulled.”
“I hate for the fire department to get in full gear and get in their firetrucks and come up here for that,” Pelham continued. “We need to replace all the handles in the building.”
Commissioners on the Building and Grounds Committee voted to replace all of the old fire alarm pulls in the administrative building.
