A rescheduled meeting of the county’s Highway and Bridge Committee took place Tuesday. The previous meeting was canceled due to chairman Gary Prater’s stance against the use of a video camera by Commissioner Michael Shane Wilcher.Before Tuesday’s meeting began, Prater told Wilcher he had been informed by legal counsel that while he could not prevent him from filming the meeting, he could dictate where he sits to prevent a disruption. He asked Wilcher to remove himself and his video camera from the main meeting table that is generally reserved for committee members.
