The Family and Community Education (FCE) Clubs invite you join us in 2015 as we “fill the world with color” in Warren County. Join FCE as we explore different facets of color while experiencing community and family involvement.
Whether you like the primary colors (red, yellow and blue), are drawn to pastel colors like pink, or prefer the metallic such as silver and gold, FCE will give you an insight to the color world.
Color is only one aspect of FCE club work. If you are interested in sharing life experiences, improving home and community life, strengthening your adult education skills and promoting service to others; then FCE club work is for you. It provides an opportunity for members to learn about current events, seek education concerning individuals & families, participate in club activities, give back to the community through service, and connect with others in your community through fellowship.
Warren County FCE clubs meet on a monthly basis at various locations throughout the county. Family and Community Education Clubs are open to all eligible persons regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, religion or veteran status. Clubs may meet in member’s homes, community centers, or other central locations. The active clubs and meeting times are as follows:
Bonner - first Tuesday at 10 a.m. at either member’s homes or Extension office

To find the club nearest you, please contact Warren County Extension at 473-8484 or contact Hilda Lytle via email at hlytle@utk.edu. Upcoming events and activities may be listed on our website and/or Facebook page.
All local FCE clubs are a part of the county council which meets on a quarterly basis. The council consists of six presiding officers and local club presidents or representatives. The council offers service projects, contests and events (ex: International Day, Cultural Arts, and Dairy Day), an achievement day, a county-wide planning day, and much more to club members. Members can be involved on the local, county, regional, state and national levels as desired.
Some of the service projects that members are involved in include: Books for Newborns, canned food drive, toys-for-tots donations, volunteer assistance at the Red Cross Bloodmobile, and supporting entities such as the Webb House, Caring Hearts United, Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity, and the Child Advocacy Center. The council also provides a $500 scholarship for a graduating senior annually. Membership in clubs also gives the individual opportunities for participation in a reading program, working at the fair, Gold Star status, and the chance to help your club become a Master Club.
Yes, you are encouraged to ‘color’ Warren County through the Family and Community Education clubs and council.
