Female burglar gets prison time

A female burglar was given four years in prison for a series of crimes ranging from breaking into a home to violating her probation for shoplifting from Dollar General.The woman, Shanna Hammock, 27, entered guilty pleas before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to charges of aggravated burglary and assault, and violation of probation. She was given four years to be served in the women’s penitentiary along with whatever time she has left on her probation on her prior conviction of theft.Her burglary charge comes for a heist of a Margo Lane home along with another woman. It was there prosecutors say she was involved in a break-in and took numerous items including jewelry, a stereo, video games, tools, clothes and even shoes.That burglary prompted a violation of her probation on her prior conviction for stealing from a local Dollar General.
