Federal drug roundup targets meth

Federal agents swooped into Warren County this week, arresting eight people as part of a meth conspiracy ring.Arrested as part of the roundup were David Grant Turner, Jeremy Rigsby, Jacob Barnes, Jonathan Trapp, Doyle Kyle Nash, Lori Young Cope, Chris Jason Fuqua and John Brandon Marsh. The eight were transported by federal marshals to Chattanooga where they were booked on federal drug conspiracy charges. They could face 10 years to life on their charges depending on their past criminal records.According to Sheriff Jackie Matheny, the arrests come as part of a collective investigation by the sheriff’s department, McMinnville Police Department, and local and federal district attorneys offices, TBI and the ATF.The eight were targeted for allegedly purchasing large amounts of pseudoephedrine, a key ingredient in the manufacture of meth.
