Eight people were indicted by the Warren County grand jury last week during its regular June meeting. Included in grand jury action:• Jeffery E. Morton was indicted on the charge of aggravated assault.• Charles Maranta was indicted on the charge of domestic assault.• Charles Smithson was indicted on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license.• Troy Grissom was indicted on charges of simple possession of marijuana and DUI.• Wendi Tackett was indicted on the charge of theft.• William McGee Jr., was indicted on the charge of passing four worthless checks.• Sharon Cantrell was indicted on two counts of passing worthless checks.• Andrew Vazquez was indicted for driving an unregistered vehicle.• There were 21 cases continued to a later date.
