A man was injured Monday afternoon when his pickup ran off Old Shelbyville Road and slammed head on into a utility pole. The driver, Gail Grizzle, was taken to River Park Hospital by the Warren County Emergency Ambulance Service for treatment of injuries he sustained when his truck ran off the two-lane road near its intersection with Doyle Frazier Road about a mile west of Crisp Springs. The head-on impact, splintered the wooden pole and left the pickup with heavy damage as it hit nearly dead center with the pole.
