A McMinnville man has been indicted for two counts of first-degree murder for fatally shooting two Smithville residents in August.David Howard Dixon, 44, of Hardaway Street, was indicted this week by the DeKalb County grand jury. While having a McMinnville address, Dixon has a lengthy criminal record in DeKalb County and has served time in prison.He has a moderate arrest record in Warren County and several previous addresses here, according to courthouse records.The murder indictments come after two men were found shot to death Aug. 7 on Tommy Harrell Street inside Smithville city limits. According to the TBI, the owner of the home, Ervin Beacham, 55, was found inside on his couch.
