Warren County Commissioners are clearly split on whether to fund the Industrial Development Board. Members of the county’s Economic and Agricultural Development Committee have voted 4-0 to fully fund the IDB its requested $250,000.The move comes after the county’s Budget and Finance Committee voted to give the IDB $100,000 to be used either to build Spec Building 3 or for an addition to Miniature Precision Components. Budget and Finance also voted to give the IDB $75,000 to be used until the end of the year, with the full county court voting whether to fund an additional $75,000 after Dec. 31.“I back the IDB 100 percent,” said Commissioner Wayne Copeland, “I don’t think the county court ought to put restraints on them.”
