The driver of the vehicle pictured, Carolyn Russell, 65, was injured Monday afternoon when she collided with a vehicle driven by Troy Edwards, 54, at the intersection of Mullican Street and the Bypass. Russell’s vehicle was impaled on a guy-wire while Edward’s car hit the utility pole. The impacts caused one of the traffic lights to smash onto the pavement while another dangled just feet above the roadway.
