Warren County’s tax rate will stay at $1.9955, making this 11 years in a row the county has gone without a tax increase. The vote was close, but members of the county Commission voted Monday 13 to 11 to keep the tax rate the same as in previous years. The controversial decision was met with disapproval from several commissioners, including Commissioner Kenneth Rogers.“It concerns me we are passing a tax levy without the budget in front of us. It appears we aren’t giving our employees money this year. We are giving to non-profits and not giving to employees,” said Rogers.Commissioner Les Trotman concurred, saying, “I, for one, would like an opportunity to sit down with members of the school board and see what we can do with funds in their budget.
