Warren County officials will go out for bids on a new roof for the ambulance service building on Magness Drive. No subcontracting will be allowed.“Whomever submits a bid, does the work,” said Commissioner Charles Morgan during a meeting of the Safety Committee on Monday night. “The company that bids it cannot subcontract everything out.”Commissioner Teddy Boyd says the county is tired of calling the contractor about an issue on a specific project just to be told, “We didn’t do the work.”“It’s frustrating to call the company that bid the project and be told, ‘We didn’t do the work so we will have to call our subcontractor,’” Boyd said.
