County recognizes students, nursery association for work

The Warren County Commission has honored members of the Middle Tennessee Nursery Association and WCHS horticulture students enrolled in greenhouse management and turf grass management classes.The Middle Tennessee Nursery Association donated leftover stock from its recent trade show in Murfreesboro to the school system to be used to landscape Dibrell and Morrison Elementary Schools. This included a wide assortment of shrubs and trees.The students, under the supervision and instruction of teacher David Upton, used the donated nursery stock to landscape the newly renovated Dibrell school and the newly built Morrison school.Commissioner Terry Bell read a resolution expressing sincere appreciation to MTNA and the students. Students helping landscape Dibrell school were Robert Bess, Trevor Bell, Daniel Carter, Kiefer Curtis, Josh Davenport, Justin Dyer, Cheyse Frye, Nate Grandey, Hannah Green, Hayden Hildreth, Ryan Jennings, Neil Matheney, Trevor Medley, Austin Parsons, Kyle Rutledge, Marcus Vaughn, Trevor Vaughn and Dewayne Wright.Students landscaping Morrison school were Ty Bryan, Logan Chandler, Bo Chisam, Tyler Clendenon, Dustin Davenport, Zack Deckard, Wyatt Ferrell, Sam Hickey, J. Drew Lawson, Sean Ledbetter, Mark Miller, Micah Moffitt, Blake Myers, Kyle Myers, Daniel Parson, Allen Petit, Addison Rigsby, Brendon Southard, Colin Sweeton, Jake Talbert, Garrett Walker, Micah Welch and Grayson Woods.“We are very thankful for the MTNA’s generosity,” said Director of Schools Bobby Cox.
