Qualifying has closed for all 12 constable spots up for grabs this year. Most constable positions will be unopposed. Mark Guertin in the 1st, Tank Young in the 2nd, Jonathan “Cornbread” Crouch in the 4th, Jim Cunningham in the 5th, Howard Pennington Jr. in the 6th, Jason Dodson in the 7th, and Karl V. Day in the 8th are all running unopposed.In the 3rd District, David Pennington and Larry White will face off, while Louis Battles and Charles K. Sharpe will go one-on-one in the 9th.
