Fifth Sunday singing will be held at Shellsford Baptist Church, 121 Bottoms Road, at 6 p.m. featuring the group Anchored. Admission is free. A love offering will be taken.

Open house will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at Boyd Christian School.

TUESDAY, MAY 1
Centertown Theater Club will hold School House Rock on May 1, 3 and 4 at 6 p.m. and May 5 at 5 p.m. The event will be held at Centertown School. The May 5 event is a dinner theater and will cost $10 and be catered by High Roller Smokers. The other night’s admission is $4.

A clothing give-away will be held Westwood Church of Christ from 8 to 10 a.m.

THURSDAY, MAY 3
Van Buren County Forestry Field Day will be held May 3 at the Hill Farm on Highway 8. RSVP to 931-946-2435. Topics will include insect and disease control, industrial forestry, reforestation, herbicides, thinning and crop tree release.

The American Association of University Women’s annual art show will be held at Three Star Mall. Art work from home-schoolers must be dropped off from 3 to 4 p.m., May 3 in the old bookstore location at the mall. For more information, call 668-8403.

Flintnapping will be featured at Old Stone Fort State Archaeological Park from May 4-6.

SATURDAY, MAY 5
Rock Island State Park will celebrate its 45th year with a party at Area 2 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Music in the Park will be held May 5 in downtown Viola from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. featuring the Midnight Flyers. Bring a lawn chair.

A big country ham breakfast will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at Newtown CIC. Cost is $5.

A Walk to Remember, the Morrison Alumni night, will be held at 601 School Street in Morrison at 5 p.m. There will be a 7 p.m. alumni ballgame to follow. For info call Teresa 635-2512.

Pleasant View Cemetery meeting will be held at 10 a.m. at the old Pleasant View School. Donations may be made to Pleasant Hill Cemetery General Fund and mailed to Pleasant View Cemetery, 114 Charlie Powell Road, Woodbury, TN 37190.

A McMinnville Cruisers Cruise-In will be held May 5 at Tim’s Motors at 1414 Smithville Highway beside KFC. For more information, call 808-9812.

The Wildcat 5K and one-mile run will be held at 8 a.m., May 5 at Dibrell School. Pre-registration by April 30 is $10 and $15 from then on. Proceeds benefit the school’s archery program.

The Warren County Master Gardeners annual plant sale will be held at the downtown water tower beginning at 6 a.m.

A talent show will be held at 6 p.m. at the Go-X-treme Youth Center on Morrison Street. Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 13. Four and under are free. The contest is free to enter. For more information, call 931-259-0081.
