McMinnville’s Silver and Gold Band will perform a Christmas concert at First Baptist Church at 3 p.m. The Brass Quintet will also perform. The event is free and open to the public.
It’s the final day to see McMinnville Nativity Festival at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The festival features hundreds of nativities from around the world. The church, located at 562 Shangri La Lane, will be open from 1 to 6 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 14
Midway CIC’s annual Christmas Party and Light Contest will be held at 6 p.m. Menu is soups and chili. Please bring you favorite sandwich, salad or desserts to go with it. Only Midway residents can enter the light contest. For more information or to enter please contact Renee Willis at 931-224-9764. Lights must be on by 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend the Christmas party.
Wednesday, Dec. 15
A book review begins at 2 p.m. at Rock Island Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Dr. Bill Campbell will present a 45-minute review of the book “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens. Water and fellowship on the front porch immediately following.
A Blood Assurance blood drive will be held at Three Star Mall on Dec. 15, from 12 to 5 p.m. Per donation, Blood Assurance will donation $10 to Relay for Life McMinnville. Donors will receive an “Adventure Awaits” t-shirt, while supplies last and be entered into a drawing to win a 2021 side-by-side.
Friday, Dec. 17
Hark at the Park! A Harvey Family Christmas will be held at Park Theater at 7 p.m. The event is a fundraiser with money benefiting Hamilton Street Activity Center and Magness Library. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at Magness Library.
Saturday, Dec. 18
Viola Christmas in the Park will be offered from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will feature Santa, hot chocolate, cookies, candy and a chili cook-off. The event is free and open to the public.
