Civil War markers convey history

McMinnville’s Breakfast Rotary Club has added two more markers to the Civil War Trails program in Tennessee. With the three placed in 2010, the total number of local signs is now five.The marker “Raiders’ Target” pertains to the occupation of McMinnville and the engagement of Rebel Hill and was placed at Warren County Middle School. The marker “Lion of Ben Lomond” pertains to Gen. Benjamin Jefferson Hill (1825-1880) and was placed at Court Square.
