Fireworks for the city’s Fourth of July celebration will be one day late. According to Mayor Jimmy Haley, there has been a scheduling problem with the fireworks company and the show is pushed back one day.“We are still celebrating the Fourth of July on the Fourth of July,” said Haley. “Due to a scheduling mix-up with the fireworks company, they are going to be doing those July 5.”The fireworks display is courtesy of Dr Pepper Bottling Company and has been the 9 p.m. finale of the city’s celebration for many years.
