McMinnville officials are considering a new contract with Southern Central Waste Services to continue disposing of trash picked up within the city.“The only big difference in this contract when compared to past contracts would be the number of years,” said Public Works assistant director Brad Hennessee. “This one is for two years when we usually like the contract to be longer than that.”Hennessee says the reduced number of years was something Southern Central wanted. However, there is a clause that allows for the contract to be extended for two one-year terms by mutual consent of both Southern Central and the city. The company accepts any garbage, refuse or rubbish resulting from domestic, industrial and/or commercial activities.
