City in need of summer workers

Need a summer job or know someone who does? The city of McMinnville is looking for seniors and young adults to work this summer at one of 90 positions at McMinnville Parks and Recreation.
“We will be hiring a total of 90 employees,” said Jennifer Rigsby, human resource administrator for the city. “Some individuals could possibly work 40 hours a week depending on what position they get and how many people we have. Most won’t work 40 hours.”
Applications are being accepted for:
• Lifeguards — Individuals must be 16 years or older, be certified in CPR and be able to pass a lifeguard class. Between 20-25 will be hired at $7.25 an hour.
• Head lifeguard — Individuals must be 16 years or older and have a minimum of two years experience as a lifeguard. One individual will be hired at $8.25 an hour.
• Umpires — Individuals must be 16 years or older. Training will be offered, but preference will be given to those with experience. At least 20 individuals are needed. Salary depends on the age group they are umpiring.
• Scorekeepers — Individuals must be 16 years or older. Training will be offered, but experience is preferred. At least 14 individuals are needed. Salary depends on the field assigned.
• Pool office attendants — Individuals must be 16 years or older. Experience with a cash register and customer service is preferred. At least two individuals are needed. Salary is $7.25 an hour.
• Concession stand supervisor — Individual must be 18 years or older and have a minimum of two years experience in food preparation and customer service. Salary is $8.25 an hour.
