McMinnville officials have approved a request from Warren County High School for its 2013 Homecoming Parade route on Thursday, Sept. 19.The parade will line up on West Colville Street beginning at 4 p.m. At 6 p.m., the parade will begin at Tire Mart and run the length of Main Street, turn onto Sparta Street and end at the corner of Sparta Street and Lyon Street.Tuesday night, Safety Committee members night considered a request for the closure of West Colville Street from 4 p.m. until the end of the parade.McMinnville Police Chief Bryan Denton gave his stamp of approval.“The big difference between this and what they did last year is the parade will officially run to Lyon Street,” Denton said. “I don’t have a problem with this. They are going to use a parking lot on the corner of Lyon Street and North Spring so the kids can get off the floats.
