For those of us who love our dogs and cats, meet the Pages. This circus family owns camels, lions and elephants -- and travels around the country with these animals on full display.
Circus Pages will be in town tonight, Feb. 13, for two shows at McMinnville Civic Center beginning at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Adult tickets are $15 and two children are admitted free with each paying adult.
Animal routines are among the many captivating highlights Circus Pages has to offer. This includes the daring trainers brave enough to step inside a cage filled with lions and tigers. These ferocious beasts perform on command, leaping through hoops and even climbing atop a disco ball, all while resisting their natural urge to pounce on the trainer.
Two Circus Pages elephants are also skilled at performing. When they’re not rolling over or spinning in circles, elephant rides are available during intermission.
The Globe of Death is more than your normal circus act. Motorcycle riders risk life and limb by riding upside down inside a steel globe and trying to avoid collisions.
Circus Pages has been delighting audiences in McMinnville for the past decade as its annual stop here has become a popular attraction. Over 1,000 people traditionally fill the Civic Center for the two performances.
The Pages family got its start in the circus industry in the 1960s with renowned flying trapeze acrobats. A third generation of the family carries on the show today. McMinnville is one of about 250 stops Circus Pages makes each year with two shows performed at each stop.
