Sentences were handed down recently by Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley for offenses ranging from drug trafficking to jail rioting. Included in circuit sentences:• Derrick Dewayne Johnson was instructed to serve 140 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence and pay $250 plus costs for possession of marijuana.• Quarshawda Ro-na Peppers was ordered to serve 30 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence, perform 48 hours public service work and will be jointly liable for the victim’s medical bills along with her other two co-defendants for assault. Bobbie Annette Peppers and Vanessa Rose Ikeard are set for hearing for their part of the assault case April 23.• Aaron Patrick O’Neal was instructed to serve 120 days of a two-year sentence and make $3,000 restitution for theft over $1,000.• Sheryl Francine Prater was granted an 11-29 judicial diversion and must enter the batterer program for domestic assault.
