A man was given 14 years for drug dealing during recent criminal sentencing by Judge Bart Stanley in Circuit Court. Included in circuit sentencing:
• Charles Montez Turner was ordered to serve 14 years for delivery of drugs. His time will be served in addition to time he owes in Wilson County.
• James Billy Taylor Jr., was given a four-year sentence and must pay $2,000 plus costs for delivery of drugs. His sentence will be served in addition to time he owes the state for violation of probation.
• Michael Shawn Newby was ordered to serve 30 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence for rioting. It is consecutive to any other sentences he is serving. The sentence comes for his part in the unrest at Warren County Jail a couple of years back involving seven inmates, most of whom have long since entered guilty pleas. The uprising was settled after a couple of hours but there was damage caused to the penal institution.
• Kevin Dale Reed was given a six-month probationary sentence and must pay $75 plus costs for theft.
• Arthur Henry must serve 48 hours for violating an order of protection. • John Houston Simons was ordered to serve the balance of his sentence for violating his probation for arson, making a false report, filing a false insurance claim, hindering secured creditors and grand theft.
• Christopher Tyrone Bell was ordered to serve six months for violating his probation for grand theft.
• Joshua C. Carter was instructed to serve 120 days for violating his probation for initiating the process to manufacture meth.
• Lisa Diane Carter was ordered to serve 120 days of a three-year sentence and pay $2,000 plus costs for violating her judicial diversion for delivery of drugs.
• Greg Alan Fox was ordered to serve 90 days of a two-year sentence and pay $2,000 plus costs for violating his judicial diversion for initiating the process to manufacture meth.
• William Henry Cobb must serve the balance of his sentence for violating his probation for simple possession of drugs.
• Misty Carol Comfort must serve eight days and have her probation extended by one year for violating her probation for delivery of drugs.
• Charles Ray Burger must serve the balance of his sentence for violating his probation for delivery of drugs.
• Christopher Alan Foster must serve 90 days for violating his probation for initiating the process to manufacture meth.
• Timothy Lee Conaster must serve the balance of his sentence for violating his probation for possession of drugs and delivery of drugs.
• Kenneth W. Lawson must serve the balance of his sentence for violating his probation for delivery of marijuana and violation of habitual offender.
• Amanda Knowles must serve 180 days for violating her probation for delivery of drugs.
• Janice Janette Martin must serve the balance of her sentence for violating her probation for delivery of drugs and forgery.
• Chelsey Lynn Northcutt must serve the balance of her sentence for violating her probation for hindering secured creditors and delivery of drugs.
• Kevin Lee Fralix must serve 90 days for violating his probation for delivery of drugs and unlawful possession of a weapon.
• James A. Webb had his probation extended by one year for violating his probation for delivery of marijuana.
