The city of McMinnville has announced the winners in this year’s Christmas Parade. People’s Choice was awarded to The Redemption Center with its unique blend of “A Christmas Story” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” themed float.“We’re really happy about this,” said Steve Madison, lead pastor of The Redemption Center. “We want to do so much in the community and this gave us an opportunity to be a part of the community and do something special.”Madison says the float was intended to tie into the city’s parade theme of “A Storybook Christmas” and also remind people about Christ.“We had the Grinch scene, a Ralphie scene and then, we had a cross at the back.
