A 16-month-old toddler was airlifted Friday afternoon after he fell from a second-story window at his grandmother’s home on James Street.Police say the child was conscious, crying and responsive when he was placed on the Air-Evac helicopter. The chopper made its landing at the Civic Center Babe Ruth Field near the scene of the accident.According to the police report, the boy fell through a screen of a tall window which overlooked the driveway of the home. The window extends almost from floor to ceiling.Officers say the toddler must have pressed on the screen causing it to give way.
