If you have a great looking car or truck in your garage and feel like showing it off, get it out and drive over to Edd Rogers Automotive on Aug. 17.
Warren County Commissioner Blaine Wilcher and Edd Rogers Automotive are teaming up to offer “Great Bodies Car Show and Swap Meet” from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will benefit Families in Crisis.
“As the county's local government representative on the board, I put this together each year to raise money for their great cause. I combined my love for cars and involvement with Families in Crisis to create the show. The show will have an ‘80s feel with good music from the 80s and other decades,” said Wilcher.
Commemorative dash plaques will be given to the first 50 entrants. Awards to be presented are Top 30, Top 3 “G” bodies which are 80s Chevrolets and Top award in each class.
Awards will be presented to fit classes with Ford, Dodge, Chevy, Foreign, Bikes, etc. ranging from 1900 to 2013.
The entry fee is $25 per automobile with proceeds going to Families in Crisis.
There will be drive through judging.
“We will have door prizes, a silent auction, a dunking booth, awesome food and a swap meet. Bring the whole family,” said Wilcher.
Vendors are welcome. A 12-foot by 12-foot booth will cost $20.
Wilcher wants to thank sponsors including Dr Pepper and Walmart.
